Below is some before and after photos of a job completed using Feast Watson’s Wet look deck product.
In this example our client has given more than enough time to leech out its tannin’s prior to protective coatings going down.
In this instance we quoted the client on 2 coats with view to reviewing the level of sheen on the product before making the decision to continue with a 3rd coat.
You can see for yourself the sheen did not come into play until the 3rd coat went down.

3rd coat of Feast watson wet look deck
Deck and stairs completed with 3 coats of Feast Watson Wet Look deck in Coburg Vicotira
Our final verdict on Feast on Watson Wet Look deck is still yet to be decided as we wish to come back with more info on the product once we have seen the deck after 12 – 24 months.
When applying this product it is critical to keep a wet edge in order to have a nice clean finish.
The spread rate on new hard wood timber was around 10 square metres per Litre which fell just within range as advertised on the can.
The dry times are a touch slower than other water based oils as recoat is 4 hours which can add to your overall labour costs when comparing against other water based oils unless your deck is 50 Squares plus as by the time 1 coat is completed it may be time to start again.
